Our Primary Hub

A nurturing provision for younger learners, with individual support shaped around their needs.
Our focus is on building numeracy, literacy and social skills and creating a positive foundation for their learning journey.

ENRICHMENT

Building Confidence, Social & Life Skills

Our small class sizes enable learners to interact with peers during lessons in a supportive setting. Social development is also embedded throughout our enrichment time.

Learners can take part in team-building activities and games, as well as hands-on experiences such as nail art, cooking, art and first aid. These opportunities encourage communication, collaboration, independence and confidence.

Recognising achievement: Relevant enrichment activities are linked to the AQA Unit Award Scheme, meaning learners can receive certificates recognising what they have achieved.

Online tuition

For some young people, learning from a familiar environment can feel like a more manageable first step. Online tuition can offer an alternative way to engage with learning, with support shaped around the individual.

VOICES FROM OUR COMMUNITY

What people say about ExpertEase

Words from families, learners and education professionals who have experienced our support.

I have been with ExpertEase since year, I am now 17. I feel safe and comfortable when I attend, and all the staff are friendly and understanding of my personal battles. I know when I go in I can relax. I am acknowledged and praised when I do well and supported when I’m feeling overwhelmed. I am also enjoying my course.

Year 12, Photography student

The support they have given to a young person at risk of PEX has been outstanding. They have given detailed thought to the pupil’s learning alongside their emotional health and wellbeing and gone above and beyond expectation to plan for academic success and prepare her for the next stage of her learning journey and life. Their commitment and communication have been exemplary!

Luton Virtual School, 2025

After a turbulent time in mainstream school, my son was placed in the Hub setting at ExpertEase Tuition, and the difference has been life-changing. The tutors and all members of the team provide outstanding emotional and physical support. My son is genuinely cared for and understood, allowing him to thrive and feel settled. Subjects are taught at a pace that suits him, and he is now excelling academically, thriving emotionally and confidently preparing for his GCSEs. We feel extremely fortunate that he was given the opportunity to attend.

YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Frequently Asked Questions

Every young person’s journey is different. Here are some answers to questions families commonly ask.

Understanding our provision

SEMH refers to social, emotional and mental health needs. EBSNA means emotionally based school non-attendance.

Our provision supports young people who may experience barriers to accessing mainstream education. We have separate Primary and Secondary Learning Hubs. Suitability is considered individually, taking account of each learner’s needs and the support available.

Although some of our learners have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), this is not a requirement to access our provision. We also support young people with medical needs, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and Emotionally Based School Non-Attendance (EBSNA).

We recognise that every young person’s circumstances are unique and aim to provide a nurturing, personalised approach that supports their individual educational and social needs.

Learning and Hub life

Our small class sizes allow learners to interact with peers in a nurturing environment. Social development is also built into enrichment activities including team-building games, cooking, nail art, art and first aid. Many activities link to AQA Unit Award Scheme units, allowing learners to earn certificates for their achievements.

Our curriculum includes GCSE-related subjects, Functional Skills and other subjects or enrichment activities depending on age and individual programme. Use the Pre-16 and Post-16 tabs above to explore the published options, and contact us to confirm what is currently available.

We understand that a new environment may feel daunting. We discuss needs and reasonable adjustments before a placement begins and agree an appropriate introduction based on the learner’s circumstances.
